THE GREEN ENERY STEM PROJECT WILL FOCUS ON ADOPTING TECHNOLOGY, A LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM TO EDUCATE TEACHERS ON MODULAR TOPICS ON GREEN ENERGY CURRICULUM, WHILE THE TEACHERS IN TURN WILL TEACH PUPILS IN SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN LAGOS STATE NIGERIA.
The NEF G-STEP project is focused on 6 main impact points on both the teachers and the pupils, the immediate environment as well as the continent at large
Knowledge and application of energy-saving techniques for individuals and businesses.
Improved comprehension of customer needs and how to meet them.
Complete Pre-Survey form.
STEM teacher fellowship application.
Notification of shortlisted STEM teachers.
Shortlisted STEM teachers attend in-person Green Energy training/networking event in Lagos.
Shortlisted STEM teachers each train at least 10 pupils.
Shortlisted STEM teachers attend virtual dissemination event and capacity building session.
The following criteria will be used to evaluate the 400 word motivation statements:
(i) Motivation for project;
(ii) Willingness to train at least 10 pupils virtually using the Tool and report progress on the App;
(iii) Innovation potential including (e.g. how have teachers engaged/taught students on energy till date using tools available to them etc); and
(iv) Teaching Influence/Impact including past awards/achievements.
